Don’t believe us? Check out our favorite multi-purpose products you have in your home right now!
Baby Powder as Dry Shampoo
If you have a little one around, this stuff is always readily available. It is sold in almost every pharmacy across the country and can be used for more than just keeping baby buns dry. Grab your baby powder, like up & up Baby Powder with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E (Target.com for $2.99) and apply it to hair for a little pick-me-up. Seriously, baby powder acts a dry shampoo for the days when washing your hair isn’t an option. Take a little on your hand and sparingly apply it to your roots (being sure not to add too much) to help soak up the extra grease. We love this idea because you don’t spend a fortune on expensive dry shampoo when baby powder will do the exact same thing!
Baby Shampoo as Shaving Cream and More!
We love baby shampoo! This is one of the most versatile products on the market. If you don’t already know there are literally dozens of uses for baby shampoo around the home. If you don’t have some already, try Little Ones Head-To-Toe Wash (kmart.com for $2.99). Most baby shampoos are tear-free, hypoallergenic, paraben & BPA free. So here are some great uses for baby shampoo:
-Clean your makeup brushes regularly with one drop of baby shampoo mixed with a little bit of water. Let them dry out completely before your next use.
-Remove makeup with it since it is tear-free, it won’t irritate the skin around your eyes. With a cotton ball, dab the shampoo with warm water on your face to remove all your makeup!
-Safe to use on your pets since it is a gentler formula. Wash up the pup with a little baby shampoo and you’ll be glad you didn’t buy up the expensive alternative at the pet store earlier today.
-Remove oils from brushes and combs by filling a bowl with warm-hot water and a few drops of baby shampoo. Let them soak for a few minutes, then dry off with a towel. This will remove hair and skin oils effortlessly.
-Use as shaving cream if your running low on it. Simply later up your legs, underarms, or face for a silky smooth shave.
Lip Balm as Cuticle Cream
Lip balm is essentially moisturizer in a tube. If you are giving yourself a manicure, grab a tube of this stuff and run it along your cuticles for serious hydration. Works just as well as cuticle cream and will save you the time of locating where you left it last.
Coconut Oil for Everything
Find yourself in a bind for makeup remover, face moisturizer, toothpaste, hand cream, cooking oil or just about anything else? Bust out the coconut oil for all these multi uses and more! Coconut oil is incredible for your health not to mention your teeth, skin, and hair. Whatever you decide to use it on remember, less is more. Start with a little and work up as necessary.
